When to visit

Spring Break Season (March–April)

The water warms early on the Gulf Coast. Families arrive before peak crowds and summer prices.

Full Beach Season (May–August)

Peak season. Warm water, full sun, every restaurant open. Book early. Gulf Shores summer weekends sell fast.

Shrimp Festival Season (September–October)

The National Shrimp Festival in October has run for nearly 50 years. The water stays warm well into fall.

Off-Season Gulf (November–February)

Quieter, cheaper, mild enough for beach walks, fishing, and golf. The locals' favorite time.
