Cancellation Policy

Standard cancellation tiers

Flexible: Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in. Cancellations within 5 days receive a 50% refund of the rental amount (cleaning fee is non-refundable).

Moderate: Full refund if cancelled at least 14 days before check-in. Cancellations 7–13 days before check-in receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.

Strict: Full refund if cancelled within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, no refund.

How to cancel

To cancel a reservation, call or text us at (414) 387-3036 or email tom@getawayandstay.com with your booking confirmation number. Cancellations must be received in writing (text or email) to be processed.

Cancellations are effective on the date we receive your written notice, not the date of your initial call. If you leave a voicemail, follow up with a text or email to ensure the request is timestamped correctly.

Refund timing

Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of the cancellation being processed. The exact timing depends on your card issuer.

Force majeure and emergency exceptions

If a government-issued evacuation order, natural disaster, or declared state of emergency makes your stay impossible, we will issue a full refund or offer a rebooking at no charge, regardless of the cancellation policy in effect.

No-shows

If you do not check in on your arrival date and have not contacted us, the reservation is treated as a no-show. No refund is issued for no-shows.

Early departures

If you check out before your scheduled departure date, no refund is issued for unused nights unless we are able to rebook the property for that period, in which case we will refund on a pro-rata basis at our discretion.

Modifications

Shortening a reservation is treated as a partial cancellation and subject to the applicable policy above. Extending or moving dates is subject to availability and current rates. Contact us at (414) 387-3036 to discuss changes.
